This is incredibly frustrating when you're trying to edit a video but thankfully there's a super simple fix for this weird bug. 🎁 FREE browser extension to grow your YouTube channel: 🤍 Let's say you have a video in your timeline and you can see a preview image of it in the "Program" monitor, but when you hit play, it just shows a black screen. The only thing you need to do to fix this, is to go to: "File", "Project Settings", "General" and then change "Renderer" to "Software Only" and then click OK. All of a sudden, I started to have problems with my Premiere Pro. Some of the clips on the timeline were becoming black screen. I solution is much simpler than you could imagine. Just the change in the video rendering and playback - renderer from Mercury Playback to GPU Acceleration. And it should fix the problem. Somehow, Premiere Pro automatically changed this setting In the video I mentioned to change video rendering and playback - renderer from Mercury Playback to GPU Acceleration. However, some people have mentioned in the comments below that the opposite helped fix their problems, that is to change from GPU Acceleration to Mercury Playback! Sometimes I will be working in Adobe Premiere Pro and I will get a black screen playback where there is supposed to be video. The premiere black screen issue can be a pain to deal with. Whenever this happens this trick usually solves my issue. I have used this before on both Mac and PC. I am currently using the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro 2019, 13.1.4 that came out in July. (PLEASE SUBSCRIBE) Load up capcut go to MENU then SETTINGS once in settings go to PERFORMANCE and deselect RENDER INTERFACE WITH GPU If this doesn’t fix it Disable the other 2 settings SPEED UP HARDWARE DECODING SPEED UP HARDWARE ENCODING Make sure you close and restart CapCut after changing the settings!
